Fall is in the air, which means it's time for apple picking, apple cider, warm donuts, and fall family fun! Did you know that there are more than 14.9 million apple trees covering 34,500 acres on 775 family-run farms in Michigan? Producing an average of 28 million bushels per year, Michigan is the third biggest apple producing state in the entire United States! How big is a bushel? A bushel of apples typically holds about 125 medium apples. That's a lot of apples!

Ready to pick your own apples? Check out our list of local places to visit. If you visit any of these farms or "like" their Facebook pages, it would be FANTASTIC if you let them know that Grand Haven, Muskegon & Spring Lake Macaroni Kid sent you!
