Come Bark with Us! Join Humane Society of West Michigan (HSWM) for our ninth annual Bark in the Dark, Saturday October 2nd! This family and dog friendly, glow-in-the-dark 5k and 1-mile fun run/walk, is bound to be a blast!
Don't want to run? Don't worry, Bark in the Dark is so much more than a race! The event features family fun activities including balloon animals and face painting, a pup-arazzi photo booth, and a beer tent featuring local beer, wine, & hard cider. The Independent Bank dog costume contest is also back so start planning your pup's costume now!
If you'd like to, feel free to skip the run and just come for the fun!
All proceeds from this event benefit animals in need at Humane Society of West Michigan as a 100% donor-funded 501(c)3 nonprofit that promotes the humane treatment and responsible care of animals in West Michigan through education, example, placement, and protection.

Ninth Annual Bark in the Dark

Tickets and Registration
Tickets are $35 for adults, $10 for ages 5-17, and kids 4 and under are free!
Registration fees include:
• Entry to the 5k or 1 mile run/walk
• A wag bag filled with goodies for you and your dog
• Access to the pre- and post-race activities
• Participants ages 21+ will also receive a ticket for one alcoholic beverage at the beer tent
