2021 Day Camps

Kids not ready for overnight camp? Overnight camp doesn't fit into your summer plans? Consider checking out one of the many day camp options available!


ACWL-Nuveen Summer Art Camps are the perfect activity for your child this summer! Offered each year for 10 weeks, 2021 camps will run from June 15 through August 20. Thanks to support from an anonymous donor, we are able to offer these 3 or 4-day camps for only $10/camp. Summer Art Camps are both fun and educational. They are designed for school-age children and taught by experienced artists and artist teachers. This year's 11 camps will cover a variety of topics including: paper mâché, acrylic painting, nature art, handcrafted artist books, drawing, dance and music. Each class will be held at the ACWL-Nuveen in Whitehall, MI unless otherwise noted.


Aquinas College Dungeons & Dragons Camp features Aquinas college faculty, staff, and student "Masters" who will guide you to create your own unique fantasy universe, bring to life characters and monsters, and ultimately lead other adventurers through dramatic encounters of your own design.


Camp Geneva is a Christian Camp located on Lake Michigan. We offer day camp programs for campers going into first grade through third grade and overnight camps for campers going into third grade through going into their freshman year of college. Kids need camp more than ever. They need the chance to connect with others and put aside some of the worries and distractions of everyday life, and camp is the perfect place to do that. 


Camp Henry in Newaygo has had the privilege of serving campers, families, and guests since 1937. We believe that a camping experience at Camp Henry has the capacity to transform lives in many ways. Day Camp, Mini Camp, and Week-Long Camps available! Camp Henry also has family events throughout the year. 


Camp Roger, located in Belding, just north of Grand Rapids, offers summer day camp, overnight camp, and wilderness trips for kids of all ages. We love to get outside!


Humane Society of West Michigan, located in Grand Rapids, has day cams offering games, crafts, lessons, guest speakers and plenty of time with furry friends. Your child's camp registration fee goes right back to helping animals in our community.


Indian Trails Camp offers day camp and overnight respite camps year around, serving individuals with disabilities with focus on accessibility and adaptability. ITC has a health professional (RN, EMT, LPN) onsite 24 hours, 10 open concept heated and airconditioned cabins wheelchair access to all program spaces, adapted rock wall and zip line, indoor pool, large indoor gymnasium, wheelchair ramp accessible pontoon, paddle boats, arts, crafts, and so much more! 


Legacy Stables 'Own-A-Horse' Camplocated in Caledonia, gives kids the opportunity to experience what it is like to own a pony or horse for an entire week.  You will learn all aspects of horse care including feeding, grooming and stable management. And yes, you will have an opportunity to ride a horse every day! 


Muskegon Yacht Club Learn To Sail classes are designed for both first-time sailors and experienced sailors.  Instruction is tailored to individual student needs.  Students sail alone or with a partner depending on skill level. Students may request to be paired with a friend. Sailing camps are offered in a 4 day long segment, Monday through Thursday on beautiful Muskegon Lake.  We also offer a 2 segment Monday evening class for families. 


Ottawa County Parks & Recreation summer camps offer opportunities for exploring nature and are perfect for kids ages 3-16,! Hiking, kayaking, fishing, wilderness skills, outdoor art, wildlife, exploring ecosystems, and more for kids ages 3-14. 


Pepper Oaks Equestrian Center, located in Muskegon, is offering six sessions of 3-day kid's camps. Campers ages 5-14 will learn horse safety, grooming and care as well as the basics of control and balance in the saddle through fun interactive games and individual riding time with our group of instructors. 


Pine Ridge Bible Camp located just 25 minutes north of Grand Rapids offers overnight camps for children, youth, and the developmentally disabled. Their programs are uniquely designed for each age with a variety of activities. Perfect for ages 6-19, Pine Ridge Bible Camp offers sessions throughout the summer. Come for a week, or stay all summer!


Robotics and Science Camp in Rockford gives kids the opportunity to design, build, and program a LEGO Robot and do fun science experiments and outdoor games.  All day for entering grades 4-9 and 1/2 day for entering grades 1-3.  


Van Andel Institute allows kids to discover new worlds this summer with hands-on Virtual STEM Camps for Grades 2–12. Following the success of last year's model, students will once again have the opportunity to think and act like scientists while exploring a wide range of STEM lessons. Not only that, but these virtual camps are designed to get students up, moving, and away from the screen! VAI teachers will connect with students throughout the day via technology while also presenting engaging activities designed to get kids up and active. Students will be away from the screen, immersed in fun, and best of all, making new friends! 


West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science Summer Adventure Camp in Walker offers a 10-week day camp offered for PreK-5th grade students with differently weekly environmental themes! Explore our 62-acre campus with COVID guidelines for safety, breakfast and lunch included. Our 2021 camp spots have filled, but there will be more fun coming for summer 2022. And, be sure to check our website for other educational opportunities for your kiddos. 


YMCA Camp Manitou-Lin, located in Middleville, does summer right. Your 4th-8th grade camper will leave with more than new friends and great memories – they’ll also gain important life skills. Our programs and activities are designed to teach important skills like communication, collaboration, critical thinking, curiosity and cooperation, with a focus on SAFETY. Come, have good times, and make great memories with us!


YMCA Camp Pendalouan, located on the shores of Big Blue Lake offers a quiet, rustic setting and unparalleled service for groups from throughout Michigan and the Great Lakes region. We are located near Muskegon, Michigan, on over 150 acres of mature oak-pine forest, adjacent to the Manistee National Forest and the White River. We offer summer camps, seasonal events, weekend camps, and group retreats that highlight our camping program at Pendalouan. Within our programming, we have fun activities on the shores of Big Blue Lake including high ropes, hiking, boating and swimming, horse back riding, rock climbing, zip line, campfires and more!
