What's Happening June 10-16?

By Sarah Boucher June 10, 2020

⭐ MACARONI MOM MUSINGS⭐

Well, Wednesday morning came and went and there was no newsletter.  You guys, this week has been one of those weeks.  One of those weeks when you have big plans to get things done, and the universe keeps intervening making things take five times as long to complete, and making some tasks impossible to complete on the day you planned.  Road construction, power outages, last minute changes in plans with kid's friends, and a laundry list of other challenges happened this week.

Yet, life goes on.  In the grand scheme of things, my challenges this week have been minor annoyances, and have simply been an exercise in testing my patience, flexibility and resilience. I'm thankful for a mom that lives close by and lets me use her internet (and power!), pizza takeout so I got a night off cooking, mom friends who step up to help with transportation in a pinch, and for kids that have been going with the flow this week!

⭐ LET'S TALK ABOUT EVENTS⭐

Events are starting to happen - in person - with other people.  With that being said, use your discretion as to what you feel comfortable with in regards to events.  If you're ready to be out and about, great!  We'll be adding community events to the calendar.  Prefer to stay close to home and not be with members outside your household?  No problem, we'll continue adding virtual events and publishing articles about at home family fun!  That's what's great about Macaroni Kid - there's always something for everyone.

Have input as to what you'd like to see more of?  Let us know!  We're here for you and strive to make Macaroni Kid a great community resource for finding your family fun and connecting the members of our community.

Be sure to check out our calendar for what's happening.  And, if you have a free or low cost family event happening at your business or organization, be sure to submit it here!

Reminders:

  • As in-person events start to take place, please be sure to do your research to make sure you follow all venue requirements for social distancing.  We will do our best to include information in our event posting, but with things changing fast, a double check is always a good idea!
  • Stay tuned to our calendar and Facebook as we share events and happenings around town that are either virtual, drive-through, or are outdoor activities.  And remember, there are many ways to find your family fun at home.
