A Note From Your Publisher: Info on Local Event Cancellations

Coronavirus means the situation is changing quickly

March 14, 2020

This is an uncertain time, and things seem to be changing by the day -- if not the hour -- with coronavirus and the reaction to it as health officials and the government try to slow its spread.

Most local events are being canceled and we are working on updating the calendar -- with over 350 events this month, it's no easy task!  Stay tuned as many events will likely be rescheduled and/or resume regularly scheduled programming by the venue at a later date, and we'll be sure to let you know!

In the meantime, we are working to add digital/virtual events to our calendar, and fill our site and newsletters with activities you can do from home, recipes, fun articles to read, and we'll be doing some contests and giveaways to keep things exciting!  Any local businesses doing virtual/live events are welcome to submit their events to our calendar here!

Please watch the CDC, the Michigan Department of Health, and your County Health Department for the latest news.

But don't worry, there is still plenty of fun to be had!  We will be filling our site and our newsletter with recipes, craft ideas, outdoor activities, educational resources, and more!

And, of course, please take care of yourselves and your family. (But leave some toilet paper for the rest of us.)
