Flicks' Family Film Festival: Free Movies for Kids

By Sarah Boucher, Publisher Macaroni Kid Grand Haven, Spring Lake, and Muskegon April 13, 2021

Going to the movie theater is something I have enjoyed since I was a kid, and it's an activity  my family enjoys doing together. However, with a big family, going to the theater can be quite the financial investment!  However, there's one time of year when movies are FREE for kids ages 12 and under: Flick's Family Film Festival.

Select films at participating Celebration Cinema theaters are FREE for kids ages 12 and under, and tickets for all others are just $5.  That's a steal of a deal!

This year is a little bit different from years past, as the movie lineup isn't being announced ahead of time. Each week of the festival, a new feature film is selected and will be announced on Celebration Cinema's website. An end date to the family flicks has not yet been determined, as the theaters are taking things a week at a time as they adjust to reduced capacity and ensure they comply with all COVID regulations.

4/13/21 - 4/22/21

This week's feature film: The Croods: A New Age
Rated PG -1 hr 35 min

The prehistoric family the Croods are challenged by a rival family the Bettermans, who claim to be better and more evolved.

Enjoy your movie and be sure to let us know which was your family's favorite!
