A New Way to "Check Out" Michigan

The Michigan Activity Pass

By Sarah Boucher, Publisher Macaroni Kid Grand Haven, Spring Lake, and Muskegon January 6, 2020

Want to see some new places in Michigan but don't want to spend a lot of money?  Did you know that you can use your Michigan library card to "check out" FREE or discounted admission passes (or other exclusive offers) to hundreds of Michigan state parks, campgrounds, museums, trails, arts & cultural destinations, and more?

Each week you can check out a Michigan Activity Pass (MAP) and it's good for 7-days from the date of checkout!  From adventure to art to museums to gardens there's something for everyone.  There are over 385 activities to choose from, and new places are being added each year!  There are destinations throughout both the Upper Peninsula and the Lower Peninsula, and the MAP guide to participating activity locations is organized by geographic location for easy travel planning.

Whether you want to stay close to home or venture to a new city, the MAP can be your ticket to affordable family fun (and staying active) in our great state of Michigan!
